The following project, made by the French film student, is a nice one. Joris Faucon GrimaudHe wanted to pay tribute to Cinema with a capital C by retracing the history of the seventh art in 7 minutes.
His montage includes short excerpts from nearly 230 often legendary films that span 120 years of cinema history (since the Lumière brothers' cinematograph in 1895). The scenes follow one another at full speed but are organized into 5 more or less chronological parts with as many background musics.
Joris Faucon Grimaud explains how he carried out this project:
I helped myself with books like 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die by Jay Schneider or tops like IMDb. Sometimes the selection was made naturally based on my tastes, as for the moment devoted to animated films or certain films like Watch men.
