Emojis (or emoticons) are everywhere on the web... in a few years with the advent of mobile phones and then smartphones they have become part of our vocabulary, so much so that there is even a film that was released about life Emojis at the end of 2017 (sad world)!
Emojis and other smileys are often fixed and generally depend on the service or operating system you are using. But have you ever wanted to tinker with these figures to transform them to your liking?
This is a bit what is proposed this site built by a Dutch developer, Floris de Bijl. The site loads emojis as vector images in which you can drag the different elements and pieces to rearrange them as you wish. He's a bit like the Mr. Potato Head of emoji. !
Accustomed to seeing people tinkering with smileys using difficult-to-use tools like Photoshop or Gimp, Floris decided to create a dedicated utility to simplify the task.
This free online tool is based on Twitter's open source emoji library. As a result, this very easy-to-use site allows you to use one or more emojis and deconstruct them to put them in your own style.
At this stage of development, the possibilities are still limited and you can only move the elements, delete them or move them forward/backward in the field… Once you are satisfied with your creation, you can download the result in PNG format.
But since this is only a beta version, we can imagine future developments bringing new features.
