When you browse the Internet or install new software, you are not safe from unwanted software that installs itself without your knowledge. If you read this blog regularly, you have probably already installed Unchecky which helps prevent spam are installed at the same time as other programs.
If this is not the case and every time you go on the Internet you notice slowness on your favorite browser, a home page that you never chose, a toolbar that you never installed (intentionally) or ads that open everywhere, this article is for you and we will try to remedy it.
I had this article in the pipeline for a while, but I hadn't taken the time to write it. But I was finally able to put the tool I'm going to tell you about into practice by helping out a friend for whom access to the Internet had become a real nightmare!
Developed by G DATA Software, a company specializing in antivirus software, G DATA CLEAN UP is a free tool that will tackle toolbars, pop-ups and adware that are ruining your web browsing.
This program does not require any installation, so you just have to download it and double-click on it to launch it.
Then click on “Check your system” so that G DATA CLEAN UP scans your computer for suspicious files. This operation may take several minutes.
Once the scan is complete, the program will offer to delete all suspicious files. To do this, click on “Delete”.
Once the files are deleted, do not hesitate to relaunch the scan a 2nd time to make sure that all the files are gone. In addition, you can also launch a scan with the essential Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for which there is also a free version.
G DATA CLEAN UP is not the ultimate solution (which does not exist) but will allow you to get rid of a good number of spam. The best defense remains of course to be very careful when you install software and when you browse the web!
G DATA CLEAN UP is available for download directly via this link or on the G DATA downloads page.
