Although the first mobile phone model was presented in 1973 by Motorola, it was not until the 90s that we saw the emergence of this new means of communication which would revolutionize our way of life a few years later.
Initially heavy and bulky, these mobile phones have taken advantage of the race to miniaturize electronic components to become smaller and smaller. In the early 2000s, two of the main sales criteria were size and weight. The mobile had to be able to fit anywhere.
And then a new generation of mobile phones emerged: smartphones, which became popular in 2007 thanks to the phenomenal success of Apple's iPhone (which was not the first smartphone but was the biggest commercial success).
Little by little, these smartphones became more powerful and users wanted to have larger screens. This led to a reverse movement to that experienced at the beginning of the century, with mobile phones beginning to grow, reaching screen sizes that gave them the appearance of a mini-tablet.
So the image below gives us an idea of this amazing story of the evolution of mobile phones!
