So, when I had the opportunity to test the new HyperFlux V2 mat from Razer, I didn't hesitate for a second.
And for good reason : le Razer HyperFlux V2 is nothing like an ordinary carpetIt's a concentrate of technology that not only allows your wireless mouse to glide smoothly, to pair easily with your computer... and above all to recharge automatically, without a cable!
Let's see what this is all about. Razer HyperFlux V2 has in the belly and testing it with the magnificent mouse Basilisk V3 Pro.
A simple and neat design
First impressions are often the right ones, and, as is often the case with Razer products, the HyperFlux V2 makes a very good impression right out of the box.
As a mouse pad, its appearance is very sober and that is what is required of it. Razer offers the product in two finishes : a rigid surface for smooth and fast glides and a soft fabric surface for increased precision.
For my part, I received the rigid version with a plastic covering.
The pad measures 36 cm wide by 31 cm and is 0.5 cm thick. A rectangular protrusion, where the power supply and the onboard electronics are located, is 1.1 cm thick. This protrusion also contains an LED to indicate the mouse's charge level.
Underneath the mat, a non-slip rubber coating covers the entire bottom surface to prevent it from moving around on your desk… and it's very effective!
In the end, the product is very well finished and, once unpacked... all you want to do is plug it in and try it out!
HyperFlux Technology: Continuous wireless charging
Because yes, the HyperFlux V2 is not just a simple mouse pad. It is a concentrate of technology designed for user comfort and PC gamer performance!
Indeed, the real full (long) name of this mouse pad is Razer HyperFlux V2 Wireless Charging System… and in this name, we instantly discover the main advantages of the HyperFlux V2: charging system and wireless!
While a wireless mouse is particularly enjoyable to play or use, its biggest drawback: it needs to be recharged regularly and always at the wrong time. For example, a good quality mouse with lots of very pretty, but battery-consuming LEDs like the Basilisk V3 Pro can last around 40 hours (90 hours with the RGB lighting off).
So, when the mouse pad can charge your device, it guarantees uninterrupted use, without cables or a nearby charging station. And that's exactly what the HyperFlux V2 allows you to do by allowing continuous wireless charging even while you play. As long as the mouse is placed on the pad, it charges... well, it's even better than that, you'll see!
To enable wireless charging (and automatic pairing), the HyperFlux mat comes with a HyperFlux V2 Wireless Charging Puck to insert into your mouse. This small pebble, installed under your Razez mouse, will establish the connection with the mat.
In fact, in combination with the Razer Synapse software, you will be able to optimize your mouse battery life ! Electronic devices with batteries aren't particularly fond of regular 100% recharges. So, Razer Synapse lets you enable a battery health optimizer.
This tool will allow you to define a maximum charge percentage (between 50 and 80%) in order to extend battery life as much as possible of your mouse. It's simple, but it's great, especially since once you're on the mat, you no longer have to worry about the battery!
HyperFlux Technology: Automatic mouse and keyboard pairing
In addition to charging your mouse, the Razer HyperFlux V2 connects your compatible wireless mouse (and keyboard) to your computer.pairing is very simple and lets you say goodbye to your keyboard and mouse dongles… it’s a good opportunity to get your hands on some USB ports on your PC again!
Indeed, the HyperFlux V2 is capable of support multiple HyperSpeed devices simultaneously and it's really nice! So, it's high time I invested in a compatible keyboard to eliminate an extra cable on my desk!
Connecting a Razer mouse to your computer via the HyperFlux V2 is easy. Once the wireless charging pad is inserted into your mouse, simply place it on the pad and you're ready to go.
And you can also pair a keyboard.
In short, thanks to continuous wireless charging and dongle-free connectivity, this mouse pad is definitely a magic carpet ! Easy to use, it eliminates the main constraints of wireless mice.

Performance and comfort
Although I'm not a big gamer, I was able to use the mat Razer HyperFlux V2 with the excellent mouse Basilisk V3 Pro for a few weeks and here are my impressions. I will just comment on the use of the mat and I will quickly tell you about the mouse at the very bottom of the article.
Well, my first contact with this mouse pad was very positive. I put the mouse down, moved it around on it, and I was convinced! The rigid surface glides so well that I felt like I was playing air hockey with my mouse. What a blast, what comfort! I, who was used to fabric mouse pads, experienced a real revolution.
The movements are therefore very fluid and rapid., But also very precise. You stop the mouse exactly where you want it. Moving around requires no effort, with that floating sensation that I really like.
Another very pleasant point is that the rubber coating under the mat perfectly ensures its anti-slip role. On my wooden desk, the Razer HyperFlux V2 stays in place and doesn't slip at all.
Regarding wireless charging, I noticed that when the mouse was charging and remained in the same place for a while, the carpet ended up getting a little hot under the mouse. Nothing to worry about though.

Conclusion and price
Anyway, after several weeks of sliding my mouse around like it's an ice rink and completely forgetting about that damn charging cable, I can tell you one thing: The Razer HyperFlux V2 is clearly not a gadget. This is a real plus in terms of comfort and practicality, especially if you already own a compatible Razer mouse.
Obviously, let's be honest, €139,99 for a mouse pad, it may seem a bit steep, especially if your old mat was a piece of old foam given away for free. But if you're willing to invest in making your life easier, taking advantage of a continuous wireless charging et free up USB ports, so yes, it is definitely worth it because it is much more than just a mouse pad.
In Summary, the Razer HyperFlux V2 is a small luxury that makes a real difference, especially if you spend hours gaming or working in front of your screen. For my part, I'm won over... my only regret? Not having a compatible keyboard yet!

If the object of this test was rather the mouse pad, I take advantage of having had the Basilisk V3 Pro in my hands to present it to you in a few lines, because there too, it is a real favorite.
La Basilisk V3 Pro is Razer's top-of-the-line model, designed for gamers who spend a lot of time in front of their screen and are looking for a mouse that is both reactive, customizable store et pleasant to use. Wireless, it offers an ultra-smooth connection, as stable as a wired mouse, with excellent battery life (between 110 and 150 hours depending on the connection mode used).
In terms of design, it takes the form of the Basilisk range, with a right-handed profile and very comfortable thumb rest, ideal for long sessions.
The scroll wheel is particularly interesting because it can automatically adapt to your scrolling speed. It automatically switches from a classic notched mode when you scroll normally to a very fast free scrolling mode when you accelerate.
