As the swimming events of the 2016 Olympic Games begin today in Rio (go blues!), I came across a video in time lapse quite impressive.
It actually shows the transformation of a basketball hall into an Olympic swimming pool. It is not uncommon to see stadiums transformed into performance or concert halls, or even multi-purpose halls like Bercy in Paris (sorry, we should say the AccorHotels Arena now)… But the transformation carried out in this video is much more impressive since it involves installing an Olympic swimming pool. We are therefore talking about a swimming pool measuring no less than 50 x 25m and containing more than 2 m³ of water.
