The site that I am presenting to you today will allow you to practice a language through reading... or more precisely, through comparison of a language that you want to practice with your mother tongue. Reading in a foreign language is very important to enrich your vocabulary. So to master a new language, it is really important to read a lot!
And this is where the paralleltext.io site comes in. Indeed, this site offers different classic literary works that you can read in two languages simultaneously or by accessing the translations with a single click. The books can be viewed online and therefore do not require downloading.

To access the bilingual books for practicing and learning languages offered by this site, you will first have to select your mother tongue, then choose the language you wish to work on.
You will then see a list of several books (twenty-six if you speak French and want to learn English) that you can select by clicking on the title to start reading.
By default, the book will be displayed directly (and only) in the language you want to practice. But by hovering over a sentence, a double arrow will appear on which you can click to translate the sentence into French instantly.
If you prefer to see both editions, French and English, simultaneously, you can click on the three horizontal lines at the top left and select the "Split View" option. This will display both versions of the text in parallel (hence the name of the site ????).
Finally, if you click on a piece of text, you will be able to listen to it being read (in one language or the other). Very useful if you also want to practice pronunciation while practicing reading.
