In life, there are two types of people, those who love to prepare their vacations, plan their trips, find hotels… and those who hate doing it!
If, like me, you fall into this second category, Scout Explorer is a free website that should make your life a little easier!
Well, to start with, I'll be honest, this site is only available in English... but at the same time, if you like to travel, it's not a bad idea to have a basic command of the universal language that is English!
The principle of Scout Explorer is quite simple, it is a tool built to allow you to list places to visit, restaurants, accommodations, build itineraries and share them with your friends in a simple way.
Organize a trip with Scout Explorer
To get started, you'll need to create a 100% free account on Scout Explore.
On the home page, you will then be able to create your first trip by clicking on “New Trip”; specify the location, your dates and give a name to your trip
Then start adding places by searching or clicking on the places that appear on the map. The information comes from Google Maps.
You can organize the places you have saved by classifying them into different categories that you can rename, add or delete.
This system allows you to create a memory aid of the places you want to visit during your vacation, but also of the restaurants you don't want to miss!
Once you have gone around what you want to visit, you will be able to define your itinerary, that is to say gather day by day the things you want to do! Thus, you will be perfectly organized and will have time to see all the essential things and above all you will be able to optimize your days by grouping the things nearby!

Finally, since a trip is still more fun with several people, you can share your trip with your friends by inviting them by email or by sending them a link allowing them to edit your trip or a link allowing them to only view the trip without modifying it.
However, we will regret the absence of management of journeys in the itineraries… the tool would have been really cool, if it calculated the times and distance between your different activities! Maybe that will come one day!
