You will then have an icon to access it, as with any application.
So, you will have no more excuses to forget to play this game! Once the game icon is on your home screen, you can place it in folders or move it like any other application.
For any latecomers who may not yet know Wordle, this is a simple little game strongly inspired by the TV game Motus. This explains the name Sutom, Motus backwards for its French version. You have a limited number of turns to try to guess a word. Each turn, the game tells you the letters that are correctly placed in the word, incorrectly placed but present in the word and the useless letters. By dint of deduction, you will end up finding the right word!
Add Wordle or Smotus to your Home Screen on iPhone or iPad

- On your iPhone or iPad, open Safari
- Go to the Wordle website… in French there are several alternatives like Word ou Sutom
- At the bottom of your iPhone screen or the top of your iPad screen, tap the share button (the square with an upward arrow)
- In the menu, select the option “ On the home screen«
- You can then rename the application and click Add to complete the operation.
And there you have it, the Wordle website appears on your home screen just like any other app. When you click on it, your iPhone will open the website in Safari!
If you want to remove this shortcut, the process is the same as with any application installed on your device. Long press the app and choose the option Delete bookmark.
Add Wordle or Smotus to your home screen on Android
If you are an Android device user, it is also very easy to add Wordle to your écran home! This trick that works for Wordle is also functional for any website or web app!
- Open your browser (ideally Chrome) on your tablet or smartphone Android
- Go to the Wordle website… in French there are several alternatives like Word ou Sutom
- Click on the Menu button (the 3 dots located at the top or bottom of your screen)
- Select option Add to Home Screen
- Rename the name of the application that will appear on your home screen and then click Add, twice
And there you have it, the Wordle website appears on your home screen just like any other app. When you click on it, your device will open it with the web browser you used to do the manipulation.
If you want to remove this shortcut, the process is the same as with any app installed on your device. Long press on the app and choose the option Remove.
Honestly, the craze is crazy for this game which turns out to be really addictive! The proof is that there are even some who try to reproduce Sutom at home 🙂
