Created by a Big Data specialist, Ryan Whitaker, this map will help you find the best time to visit any corner of the world! As Ryan himself says, he often used to type in Google searches like "where to go on vacation in January" or "when to visit Spain" ... but the vague and multiple answers often left him in suspense. So, it gave him the opportunity to create this map based on very factual data!
Let's say I want to leave the week of June 25, with an average temperature between 15.5 and 25°, a minimum of 21.3°, a maximum of 49° and one day of rain at most... I only have a handful of possible destinations left... notably in Italy.
To build this interactive map, it was necessary to use 10 years of data from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), which represents approximately 35 million lines of data collected from 12 weather stations around the world!
In short, if you are hesitating about your next vacation destination, this interactive map may help you decide!
