When a season of a show you love ends, one question hangs on your lips... "will it be renewed for another season next year?"
But with the absolutely exponential multiplication of the number of series that are born or disappear each year, it is not necessarily easy to find your way around.
Indeed, between 2009 and 2015 the number of series broadcast in the United States more than doubled, going from 200 to 412… and it continues. Where at the beginning of the 2000s a series addict could still watch EVERYTHING, it has now become almost impossible. And suddenly difficult to easily know if a series will be renewed.
This is why Numerama has launched a small search engineAnnulotron which will tell you if you will be able to enjoy your favorite series for another year.
For now, the Annulotron is focusing on American series, but the developers indicate that it is still in the " Work in progress". In fact, they want to integrate European and international productions.
To use it, simply enter the name of the series in the tool's search bar, then click on the name of your series and you will get a sheet with its status.
On the other hand, we are still surprised that Numerama has not planned a page dedicated to this tool that only appears in the middle of a media article... It is quite surprising for a well-designed little tool...
Unfortunately this does not allow us to think that the development of this tool will be extended... Strange. Besides, if you wish I can host it on Byothe.fr, eh, I'll give it a page all to itself!
In the meantime, the Annulotron is working pretty well and will let you know if your favorite American series will be back in September!
