When I'm on my computer (which is a good part of my days) I regularly have to take a few notes, whether it's for my work, for this blog, for my family, to remember a book, a movie... I have several ways of working depending on the type of note I want to take. To think about buying this or that thing during my next shopping trip, I take out my phone and I have an app for that. If it's for an idea for an article on Byothe.fr, I use Todoist, a task list manager... In other cases, I send myself an email and sometimes, I take a post-it that I stick on my desk...
In the end, I have it everywhere and I have trouble finding my way around!
But I discovered BriskNote a few days ago and I think I was convinced.
Take Notes Anywhere with BriskNote
The objective of BriskNote is to make you much more productive in a very simple (and free) way. Thanks to a Chrome extension, you will open your notepad every time you open a new tab on the Google-signed browser.
By default, once you have installed the extension, your notes will be saved locally on your computer. Convenient, but there is even better. By creating a free BriskNote account, you will be able to synchronize your notes between several of your computers (home and office for example) and especially with the mobile application that you can install on your smartphone.
In fact, in addition to the Chrome extension, There is an Android app and an iOS version should be released soon.
So when you take notes on your browser you can find them in your pocket and vice versa!
Of course, there are still plenty of things that BriskNote doesn't do, such as sharing notes with other users (great for teamwork) or scheduling deadlines... but overall This is a very very good free note taking tool and it is really very practical.
I've been trying it for a few days and I've definitely adopted it. Its impact on my organization and productivity is really good... I'm impatiently waiting for the iOS version!
