The next installment of the Civilization game is scheduled for October 2014.

Strategy game fans, here is some great news. The next installment in the hugely popular game series civilization, announced in April 2014, finally has a launch date: 24 October 2014. The sixth episode of this turn-based strategy game will be called Civilization: Beyond Earth

Landed on our computers in 1991, this excellent series designed by Sid Meier will have delighted several generations of players. Each new release is therefore an event, especially since Episode V is already 4 years old!

This new episode brings its share of novelties since it proposes a theme around science fiction. It takes place in a future where a series of events has destabilized our planet and led to the destruction of the modern society that we know. The future of humanity is uncertain and to get out of it, the new nations that have emerged focus their resources on space travel to draw a new destiny for the human race.

The player's goal will be to lead an expedition to discover new horizons and create a new civilization in space. As in the other games, you will have to explore and colonize, research new technologies, build powerful armies, build dazzling wonders and shape a new world.

As you can see, if the concept of the game has not changed much, the game environment is completely new. Indeed, the first 5 episodes took place on Earth and covered the evolution of humanity since prehistoric men. Here, you will be confronted with a completely new universe… a futuristic universe.
