Needless to say, this will make your life easier! No need to retype all the text you wanted to recover from a particular image.
To install it, nothing could be simpler… Open Chrome (or install it) and go to the website of Project Naphtha.
All you have to do is click on the big yellow button " Add to Chrome " and voila !
Then when you hover over the text of an image you will have the little symbol
Here is what it gives:
And here is the copied text:
The Tyger
Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the woods of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,

And when thy heart began to beat,
While this extension works very well on English texts, it is currently less accurate on French texts... but it is still in the development phase and seems very, very promising!
The extension also recognizes text on photos!
And that's not all! Because in addition to that, the Project Naphta algorithm will soon allow to translate text from an image and replace it directly on the image by deleting the original text! The feature is currently in testing phase… and it’s pretty impressive!

Project Naphtha is an extraordinary extension that should help you a lot! If it still has some imperfections of youth, its promises of future developments are likely to make it very soon an essential tool of the web!
