I have always been impressed by people who know just about every keyboard shortcut imaginable. They are able to do whatever they want with their keyboard thanks to their nimble (and sometimes sausage-like) little fingers. While I don't think shortcuts are always the most effective solution, there are some that are important to know well in order to gain comfort in front of a computer. I am not talking about Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, which everyone knows. That would be an offense!
No, I already told you about the shortcut. Ctrl + Shift + V which is really super practical! And even if it has nothing to do with it, I wanted to tell you about a new shortcut you absolutely must know, because it is really essential: Ctrl + Shift + T or Ctrl+Shift+T for those with an English keyboard.
If you've ever closed a tab in your web browser by mistake, you'll love this shortcut!

Ctrl+Shift+T the most useful shortcut on any web browser
I'm sure you regularly close tabs on your web browser by mistake when trying to move them, minimize the window or simply without paying attention... It's not the end of the world, of course, but it can be downright annoying!
While I can't do anything to make you make fewer mistakes like this, I can still give you a solution to fix them quickly and easily using this famous keyboard shortcut.
Working on all the most common web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.), the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T allows you to reopen the last tab you closed (whether by mistake or on purpose…).
And that's not all, if you press this shortcut a second time, you will open the tab closed before... and so on, you can go back quite far in the history of closing tabs and it's really practical!
By the way, you can also note that the shortcut Ctrl+T (so without the "Shift") allows you to open a new tab in your browser. Ctrl+Shift+T is therefore a clever variation of this shortcut!
Finally if you are on macOS, you can use the combination Cmd+Shift+T to achieve the same result and thus reopen the last closed tab on your web browser.
Other (less convenient) ways to restore browser tabs
Of course, using this shortcut isn't the only way to reopen previously closed tabs. From your browser, or even from Windows, you also have multiple methods to reopen tabs.
The most obvious method is to check your browser history, which lists all the web pages you've visited recently. Simply click on the tab you closed to reopen it. Access to the history varies by browser, but is usually found through the settings (the 3 dots on Chrome or Edge, the 3 dashes on Firefox, etc.).
You can also access recently closed tabs through the Windows taskbar. To do this, right-click on your browser icon and select the tab in the “Recently Closed” section.

Another way to open a tab that you accidentally closed is to use the browser's tab finder feature. In the Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge…), just press CTRL + Shift + A and a search box will appear with all your tabs, including the ones you recently closed.
So? Are you convinced of the interest of this shortcut?
