For some time now, it has become relatively difficult for Microsoft customers to get their hands on official Windows installation disk images (ISO files). Indeed, ISO file downloads from the official Windows download site require a product key associated with an installation CD, product keys corresponding to OEM versions, i.e. those sold with your computer, are not accepted… but today a large majority of Windows sold are OEM.
Windows ISO Downloader
Windows ISO Downloader is a portable software (not requiring installation) that allows its users to download the official installation images of the different versions of Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 as well as Office 2007 and 2010 from Microsoft servers, without a product key.
This software weighs only 0.3MB and is 100% safe according to Virus Total.
To begin, once the software is downloaded, double-click on it to launch it.
Step 1: Choose the version of Windows/Office you want to download
Step 2 : Choose the edition (Home, Professional…) from the drop-down menu and click on Confirm
Step 3: select your language (or at least the one you want to download)
Step 4: download buttons will appear and you must choose the 32-bit or 64-bit version (depending on your processor). If necessary, on the right side, you can even copy the download links to use them with a download software, for example.
Once you have downloaded the image file, you will need to burn it to a CD or DVD so that you can use it to reinstall Windows (for example).
In short, here is a handy little utility to recover a Windows installation CD. Let's hope that Microsoft does not change the access to these files in order to block this kind of software!
