En-ROADS (Energy-Rapid Overview and Decision-Support) is a fast and powerful climate simulation tool that allows anyone to understand how we can achieve our climate goals through changes in energy, land use, consumption, agricultural policies, etc. It was developed by Climate Interactive in partnership with MIT.
According to its creators, it is designed to provide a synthesis of the best available science on climate solutions. Its goal is to allow us to explore the long-term climate impacts of global policy and investment decisions.
Create your own climate scenario
This simulator will allow you to act on different aspects of our economy in order to visualize what the impacts of your modifications on climate change could be by 2100.
You will thus be able to adopt different scenarios to promote or discourage certain policies in terms of energy, transport, construction, industry, growth, carbon emissions, etc.
To do this, you need to adjust sliders for each theme, but you can also click on them to access finer settings.
In addition to the simulator, the site offers a whole series of graphs that you can display and which react depending on the policies you adopt or not.
In short, once again this is just a simulation tool and nothing is harder to simulate than the life of our planet. Nevertheless, this free tool can be very interesting to understand the positive or negative impacts of our policies on the Earth's climate.
