In France, Sesame Street is not really part of popular culture, but across the Atlantic, it is a reference show for children.
And among the puppet characters in this entertainment is Cookie Monster (Macaron The Glutton in VF).

A portrait of a monster in a volcanic rock cup
I'm telling you all this because recently, a volcanic stone discovered in Brazil went viral due to its disturbing resemblance to the famous Cookie Monster... This monster portrait created such a buzz that buyers were ready to offer $10 to buy the rock!
Found in November 2020 by gemologist Lucas Fassari in the Rio Grande region of southern Brazil, this agate was purchased whole in a mineral lot by Mike Bowers. This collector cut his stone in two to reveal the beauty of its interior… and he was not disappointed! The agate is composed of blue quartz crystals that mimic the complexion of the famous puppet with its big cake-eating mouth and two bulging eyes! No doubt, it's Cookie Monster!
"It's quite rare to find a face shape in agates, but in many cases it's like looking at clouds. You kind of see a face," Bowers explained.
"What makes Cookie Monster unique is that there is no doubt: It's Cookie Monster, without any explanation."
What also sets this Cookie Monster agate apart is that the face appears on both sides of the cut stone. Most of the time, the voids are not aligned in a way that creates a mirror image.
For the moment, the collector has no plans to sell this monster portrait. The stone could end up in a museum or in the hands of a “high-end” collector.
