If you want to increase the size of an image quickly and easily, any image editor will allow you to do so at the expense of quality. However, thanks to advances in artificial intelligence, it is now possible to enlarge the size of an image while reducing the loss of quality and minimizing the impact of artifacts. The open source software NiceScaler is one of the most promising, with three AI models to test.
I don't know about you, but I often find myself searching for an image, finding exactly what I need, but unfortunately the image size is ridiculously small. All photo editor Classical can increase its size using resampling methods such as bilinear, bicubic or "nearest neighbor", but artifacts and loss of quality are inevitable.
And that's where artificial intelligence intervenes. Many developers have helped advance image scaling technologies by training ever more efficient AIs. NiceScaler is therefore free software allowing these technologies to be used to enlarge an image without loss of quality!
NiceScaler: Enlarge an image using Artificial Intelligence

NiceScaler supports four AI models: FSRCNN (commonly associated with waifu2x), ESPCN (Efficient Sub-Pixel Convolutional Network), and LapSRN (Laplacian Pyramid Super-Resolution Network).
The first two options, FSRCNN and ESPCN, are by far the fastest, taking only a few seconds to process an image. LapSRN is a bit slower, taking about ten seconds to complete its task.
NiceScaler then asks you to choose the scaling factor. Only two enlargement sizes are available since you can choose to double the image size or quadruple it.

Finally, you can choose to use the power of your CPU or GPU to process your image.
To enlarge an image, simply drag it directly into the software window. It also works with videos. By the way, this tool works with PNG, JPG, BMP, WEBP, TIF images and MP4, WEMB, GIF, MKV, FLV, AVI and MOV videos.
In short, NiceScaler is a free tool that is very easy to use and whose results are really up to par. If you want to enlarge an image without any hassle, download a copy of NiceScaler and give it a try!
