What FaceMaze does is very specific, but can be very useful for anyone who needs to separate human faces identified in an image, for example it can generate batches of images that can be used to train artificial intelligence systems for face detection.
FaceMaze is therefore a very simple free online utility that does not require registration. You just have to upload the photo that interests you and press the button so that the mill starts to detect the faces present in the image. The result: a zip file to download containing as many images as faces found in the original photo.
The tool nevertheless has some small settings allowing you to modify: the format of the images that you will recover (jpeg, png, webp…), the size of the area to keep around a face (“Face Padding”) and the radius of curvature of the image (from square to round). It is also possible to add a filter to your images (black and white, sepia, duotone…).
You can't upload images larger than 8MB, which is already quite a lot, but keep in mind that the better the quality of your starting image, the better the quality of the face thumbnails you will get back...
The tool is really very efficient in identifying faces and especially extremely fast in generating the archive with all your thumbnails. 60 milliseconds are enough to detect, crop and apply filters on faces in any image!
