If you regularly use messaging or chat services, chances are that depending on who you're communicating with, you'll have to switch from one service to another... which isn't always convenient.
The good news is that an Austrian developer, Stefan Malzner, had the excellent idea of developing a small computer software that brings together in one place most of the common messaging services: Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Skype, Hangouts… and so on!
This little 100% free software is called French, it is in its 3rd version and works on Mac, Windows and Linux.
Stefan Malzner designed his application with the desire to simplify his life. Using many messaging services on a daily basis, he was tired of juggling between several tabs on his computer and smartphone to follow his different conversations. Starting from the observation that the main messaging systems have a well-designed web app, he decided to group them together in a single app: Franz.
While Franz is nothing more than an interface that brings together all these services in one place, its ergonomics are very successful and the tool is really useful. If you are a big consumer of messaging apps, this tool is definitely for you!
