If you want to get a website online very quickly to show someone or if you want to share it easily, Host Yo Self (for Host yourself, host yourself”) should please you.
In fact, it is a free online service that allows you to share files (without size limits) or even temporarily host an entire website with a simple drag and drop... in short, it transforms your computer into a real internet server.
Temporarily, because this site only works as long as the Host Yo Self page on your web browser is open! Once you turn off your computer or close your browser… everything disappears!
Host a website or share a file with Host Yo Self
I've already introduced you to quite a few tools on Byothe.fr for sharing files, but this one stands out for its ability to temporarily host and share a web page (in addition to any file or folder you'd like to share). And the good thing is that it's very, very easy to use.
In fact, you just have to go to Host Yo Self and choose a subdomain name on which your files will appear.
Then, you just have to drag and drop the file or folder you want to share or where the website you want to temporarily put online is located.
You will then get a link that you will be able to share and allowing your recipients to download the file(s) or view the website you put online…
Please note, as soon as you close the Host Yo Self web page, your files will no longer be accessible…
