You have most certainly already found yourself in this very uncomfortable situation of having an urgent need without really knowing where to find the bathroom…Most of the time, a friendly restaurateur will be able to help you out, but that's not always possible.
Now you will have no more problems thanks to Google Maps ! Indeed, it is very easy to find public toilets around you on the Google maps application.
Find nearby public toilets on Google Maps
On your smartphone, you can use the free Google Maps app to locate toilets near where you are. The app will list public toilets for you and display them on the map.
To get started, launch the mapping application on your smartphone.
In the search bar at the very top of the app, simply type “ public toilets nearby » and click “Search”.
A list of toilets near you will then be displayed. If you click on "Show map", you will be able to see the map and the positioning of the toilets around your position in large format.
If you click on one of the pins, you will see a summary of the information relating to the toilet in question: rating, distance, opening hours, etc. If you click on this summary, you will access more details such as the walking time, photos, the exact address, comments, etc.
The advantage is that if you are picky and not in a hurry, you can even choose the lowest rated toilets, just to find an environment that is conducive to your little business!
This trick also works on the web version of Google Maps on your computer (probably less useful though).
In short, nothing too complicated, but it's a useful tip to know... it could get you out of a somewhat unpleasant situation!
