Many of us have spent a lot of money on Amazon over the past few years. For some, the online shopping site has even become a reflex. But if you've had your account for a long time, you probably don't remember your first purchase on Amazon. In fact, if you've been a customer since Amazon's beginnings, your first order could date back to 1995! And the good news is that Amazon keeps records of absolutely every order you've made since its creation.
You can find your first purchase on Amazon via the website or via the mobile app. We'll show you both options.
How to view your first purchase on Amazon through the website
In your favorite web browser, go to Amazon. Log in to your account then at the top right of the screen click on “Returns and orders”.

This link will take you to the history page of all your orders and displays by default your purchases from the last three months.
Under the “Your Orders” heading, you’ll see links to different tabs. Just below that, you should see a drop-down menu next to a number of “Past Orders.” Click on it.

From the drop-down menu, select the oldest year. This is the year you created your account and chances are your first order was placed in that year. If not, try the other older years until you find a year with orders.

After selecting the year, you will see all the orders you placed that year. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see your very first Amazon order!

From there, you can click “View Order Details” to get a detailed view of how much you paid, where the order was shipped to, and more. When you’re done, feel free to scroll through other years of your order history. It’ll probably bring back some memories and you’ll be able to track price changes on Amazon !
How to view your first order on the Amazon app
To find your very first Amazon order in the mobile app, open the official Amazon app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Then, tap the button corresponding to your account (the little silhouette) and select “Your Orders.”

On the orders page, tap “Filter”.

In the menu that appears, scroll down to the "Filter by order date" section and select the oldest year (which is the year your account was created). If there are no orders, select a more recent year until you find the first year with orders.

After tapping on the year, you will see a list of all the orders you placed that year. Scroll to the bottom of the list to see your first order of the year.
Congratulations, this is your very first Amazon order! Tap it in the list if you want to see more details. You'll probably notice, but back then you could buy cheaper on Amazon (especially if your order is a little old).

So, what was your first purchase on Amazon?
