Creating a quality signature for your emails can sometimes be complicated: what information to provide, how to format it... But with the right tool, this work can be very easy! And that's good, because in a professional environment it's essential to have an effective signature, and for a personal email, it's always more satisfying.
One of the most effective and easy to use tools, 100% free, is called MySignature. No upgrades to pay for, no extensions to install and not even an account to create to use this service.
MySignature has 5 tabs in which you can enter information about you:
- General : name, telephone, website, email, address…
- Picture : to upload a photo or a logo (unfortunately only in square format)
- Company : company name, position…
- Style : choose a color for the theme, text size and font. Unfortunately, there is not much choice in fonts and yet the developer has chosen to integrate Comic Sans... big mystery!
- Socials : add buttons to your social networks (12 networks available, the main ones)
By the way, if you want to save time, you can even connect your Facebook or LinkedIn account to retrieve all the information about you.
Then, you can choose a predefined theme from 5 to choose from… there is something for everyone, but we would have liked a little more customization on certain elements like the color of the social media buttons…
Once you are satisfied with the result, all you have to do is click on the green button Get Signature then Copy to clipboard to copy the result.
Once this step is done, you can paste your signature into the software of your choice (Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.) or the webmail you use (this works very well with Gmail for example). Note that you also have the option of recovering the source HTML code if necessary.
Finally, if the fact that everything is in English and in particular "Phone" for telephone, know that once pasted there where you want to use it, you can edit it, because it is not an image, but formatted text.
In short, this tool is really well put together and would be perfect if it had some additional flexibility like the ability to add custom fields or the ability to make small modifications to the HTML code.
