I download apps from the App Store for my iPhone or iPad very regularly. Most of the time, they are free (curse freemium model) but sometimes they are paid.
When I choose an app, and especially if it's paid, I rely a lot on the reviews available on the App Store. This usually allows you to avoid real crap. But when there are no reviews... I give it a try. And sometimes it's really carnage. When it comes to games, in particular, I refuse to buy a game that then offers invasive paid in-app content. So, for some time now, I've gotten into the habit of asking Apple to refund me when I'm not satisfied with an app or game. And it feels good!
In fact, since 2015 you have a 14-day withdrawal period following the purchase of an application on the App Store. How can you take advantage of it?
Exercising your right of withdrawal on the App Store
As you will see, the procedure is very simple and you will not have to answer to Apple. If you want to get a refund, whatever your motivation and provided that you are within the 14-day period following your purchase, you can get a refund.
1To get started, head over to the page to report a problem from the Apple Store.
Here you will find a list of everything you have purchased on the App Store or iTunes: apps, TV shows, movies, music, books, etc., including free apps.
2In your shopping list, find the item you want to refund and click Report
3From the drop-down list, choose the option “I would like to cancel this purchase” and then click the button Cancel Purchase
FYI, if you are outside the 14 day withdrawal period, you will not have the "I would like to cancel this purchase" option in the drop-down list.
4You will then receive an email from Apple informing you that your cancellation request has been taken into account.

There you go !
This procedure is little known and yet it works very well. Every app I've requested a refund for has always been refunded by Apple!
