Fortnite was removed from the iPhone App Store in 2020 for violating Apple's rules, and Epic Games' popular game has yet to return to the iPhone. The two companies are engaged in a bitter legal battle that could bring major changes to Apple's platform, but there's still a long way to go before Fortnite officially returns to the iPhone, if it ever does.
So, no, Fortnite is still not available in the App StoreMore There is now a way to play Fortnite on iPhone and iPad quite easily, thanks to Microsoft's cloud gaming service: Xbox Cloud Gaming. These platforms have brought the popular game back to smartphones and we're going to explain step by step everything you need to do to be able to play Fortnite on iPhone.
Of course, it also works on Android!
Play Fortnite on iPhone or Android with Xbox Cloud Gaming
The best solution to play Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad is to go through Xbox Cloud Gaming. This gaming service from Microsoft is completely free and you just have to go to the Xbox website and start playing. So, without installing anything and in just seconds, you'll be playing Fortnite on any iOS or Android smartphone (and even in your web browser on your computer).

- If you don't have one yet, create an Epic Games account (here) and a Microsoft account (here)
- If you haven't already, link your Microsoft Xbox account to your Epic Games account (the procedure here on the Epic Game website)
- Go to the Fortnite page from the Xbox Cloud Gaming website from your Smartphone and sign in with your Microsoft account
- Click on “Get ready to play”
- Add the Xbox Cloud Gaming shortcut to your home screen
- Go to your home screen and click on the Cloud Gaming icon to launch the Cloud Gaming application
- On the page that opens, click on “Play for Free” then on “Play” to start the game!

The game will launch and you will be able to play with touch controls on your iPhone or iPad.
If you connect a controller to your smartphone, you will be able to use it without any problems.
Afterwards, you will only have to repeat steps 6 and 7 to launch the game at any time! Not bad, right? In any case, this is very good news for those who finally want to be able to play Fortnite on iPhone, iPad or even Android!
