How to restore a deleted event in Google Calendar?

Don't worry, you don't need to ask the organizer to resend the invitation. You can easily restore a deleted event in Google Calendar.

Restore a deleted event in Google Calendar

To restore one or more deleted events in Google Calendar, you will need to use the web version of Google Calendar. The mobile app does not allow you to do this. However, you can restore events whether they have been deleted on the web version or via the mobile app.

Go to the Google Calendar website from your Sailor and log in if you haven't already.

At the top right of the page, click on the gear to open the “ Settings menu »And select Basket.

In the new page that opens, click on the calendar in which you want to recover an event. You will then be able to see all the events deleted in the last 30 days. Events deleted for more than a long time are automatically purged by Google.

To restore a deleted event, hover your mouse over it. On the right side of the line, you will see an arrow appear. Click on it to restore the event to the calendar.

It is also possible to restore multiple events at once. To do this, check the boxes of all the events to restore and click on the arrow icon that appears at the top left of the table.

Restored events return to the original calendar as they appeared before they were deleted.

Permanently delete an event

As you can see, it is very easy to restore an event deleted in the last 30 days. But what if you really want to permanently delete an event so that it no longer appears in the recycle bin?

To do this, you have 3 options accessible from the Google Calendar trash:

  1. To delete a single event, hover your mouse over the event in question and click on the trash can icon on the far right of the screen.
  2. To delete multiple events, it's like restoring multiple events. Check all the events to be permanently deleted and click on the trash can at the top left of the table
  3. To permanently delete all events in the trash, just click on “Empty Trash” then on “Empty” to confirm.
