If you have ever wanted to share a tweet or highlight it in an image, you have certainly used the means at hand such ascapture tool from Windows or other.
Of course it works, but it is neither practical nor very pretty! That is why I wanted to tell you about pikaso, a site whose sole function is to allow you to take screenshots of any tweet and do it nicely!
Take a screenshot of a tweet
Pikaso is a (partly) free and very easy to use tool.
To take a screenshot of a tweet, the first thing you will need to do is log in to Pikaso using your Twitter account. To do this, simply click on "Sign in with Twitter" to associate your Twitter account with Pikaso.
You will then be directed to a new page where you can paste the link (URL) of a Tweet in order to capture it.
For retrieve tweet link, just go to the tweet you are interested in and right-click on the time of the tweet then select “Copy link address”.
In Pikaso, you paste this URL into the box at the very top and click “Go.” There are a few options to customize the theme used and the size of the capture, but these are among the paid options on the site.
An image of the tweet will then be displayed at the bottom of the page. You can download it in PNG format by right-clicking / "Save image as" or by pressing the link on the right "Download image".
It's pretty well done and in most cases you won't need to add a theme (tweet background color) or a particular dimension. The free version of Pikaso is therefore more than enough to recover a tweet capture in a fairly clean way!
