If there is one subject that should not be joked about, it is that of video games. Indeed, when you "invest" in a game, you want to get value for your money. So, in addition to the quality of the game, it can be interesting to know how long will this last one keep you in suspense?…and therefore how much time you will spend on it before finishing it.
This is the information that we invite you to discover HowLongToBeat (How long to beat literally means “How long to finish”).
HowLongToBeat tells you how long it will take you to finish a video game
So, to know the time you will be able to spend on a game you have several possibilities. Either you create an account on the platform and you import your games and those which interest you. Or you enter your ID Steam to know the time for each of your games on the platform. Or you can search for a game and consult its file directly.
In fact, for each of the games you will be able to access a file which will give you a lot of information and which is based on the data collected by players themselves (282 players referenced).
You can actually find the time to finish the game depending on what you want to do in the game:
- Main story: time to complete the main story
- Main + extra: time to complete the main story and non-mandatory additional elements
- Completionist: the time to complete everything, really everything that is possible to do in the game, from A to Z
- Combined: the average of the other 3 styles.
So, for each of these styles you will know the average time that players spent on the game, but also the time that you will spend if you want to "rush" the game or on the contrary if you have a more relaxed style!

The site is pretty well put together. It has over 43 games in its collection and for each one it offers a sort of confidence index allowing you to know whether the game times displayed are reliable or not.
In short, the next time you want to buy a game, go take a look... for my part, having never finished a game in my life, I don't think my contribution to the site is very useful!
And by the way, in the same genre, have you ever asked yourself how much money you spent on steam ?
