We can't stop these little guys from The Internet Archive (and so much the better)! After having offered us more than 900 arcade games, more than 2400 MS-DOS games and more than 1000 Windows 3.1 compatible games, they are doing it again by proposing 650 games for Apple II playable directly online in your web browser.
Formed by one or more individuals known as 4am, this collection is a real work of preservation of this computer heritage from the original versions of the games. Indeed, many pirated versions of these games have often circulated in the world, including signatures left by the pirates. Here the whole challenge was to find the original games.
To achieve this, these people went looking for physical versions of these games (on floppy disks). They then cracked them to remove the protections before putting them online.
In the end, you will be able to find or discover a large number of classic games from the 80s to the 90s and play them in the Apple II emulator offered by The Internet Archive.
In this collection, you should not miss games like Championship Lode Runner, Arkanoid, Pitfall II, Burger Time, The observatory or, BallBlazer.
