You're not a fan of in-ear headphones, but you also don't want to lug around a huge headset all day… I might have a solution for you: foam tips!
Indeed, there are several disadvantages to in-ear headphones They often don't fit well, they don't isolate well from ambient noise, they force you to turn the music up louder, and after a while they hurt your ears!

I don't know if you share these criticisms, but ultimately, I would say that they are often uncomfortable, and that's because of their silicone tips!
Know that this is not inevitable! No, no, there is a solution: foam tips !
Some brands offer foam tips with their earphones but this is quite rare.
Fortunately, there is Comply Foam.
Comply Foam offers foam ear tips for most in-ear headphones on the market. The company claims to cover 95% of existing models with over 2000 compatible devices… Tough luck if your headphones don't fit!
But what are these comfort foams?

Made from viscoelastic polyurethane foam, these ear tips will perfectly adapt to the shape of your ear canal.
By providing better sound insulation, you can reduce the volume of your music while gaining in audio quality.
In addition, because they are three times softer than the silicone used on regular ear tips, they reduce the pain you may experience after prolonged use of in-ear headphones.
To insert them into the ear, you need to crush them a little in your fingers and the foam will regain its shape in your ear, conforming to its shape.
Now if you're convinced, all you have to do is go to the Comply Foam website, find the brand of your earphones, their model, choose the type of ear tips that suit you best, the size and off you go!

For each model, the ear tips come in several sizes (Small, Medium, Large) and are delivered in sets of at least 3 pairs. It can be difficult to choose, but you can also opt for a "Mix" which includes one pair of each size to help you find the perfect fit.
Note that these tips wear out and therefore have a limited life which will depend on your usage. Mine last about 3 months.
Where to find them?
Most models can easily be found on Amazon Otherwise, you will have to go through the brand's official website with shipping costs of around €3 for France.
I used these tips for over a year and was completely satisfied with them.

At the same time, Comply doesn't last more than a month, so...
It's true that they wear out but mine usually last several months... And after all these years I still appreciate them just as much!
