The Relatia company has just published a rather interesting infographic on our mobile usage in 2016. Unsurprisingly, mobile is increasingly present and has profoundly transformed our way of life.
We thus learn that in 2016 the French spent an average of 2 hours and 27 minutes per day on their mobile phone and that 20% of them even spent 4 hours per day on it.
In terms of applications installed on our smartphones, the average is 26 applications (gulp, I must be close to 200 applications on my iPhone) for only 6 applications used regularly. And in the end, 25% of the applications installed are never used!
Demographically speaking, young people (15-34 years old) are at the forefront and are in favour of mobile phones, while their elders (34-49 years old) still prefer their computers.
In terms of trends, we discover that in 2017 mobile will be the leading advertising channel on the Internet and will overtake computers. Online purchases, on the other hand, will continue to progress on mobile to reach parity with computers.
But what this infographic doesn't talk about is the whole dimension of gaming! The smartphone has now become one of the leading platforms for games of all kinds...
In short, the infographic below includes a number of interesting figures to review the use of mobile phones and, above all, not to forget the ever-increasing dominance of this means of communication!
