If you regularly shop on Amazon, you have probably noticed that many products have prices that change over time... whether it's because of a sale, Black Friday or something else. These variations are difficult to follow and yet, knowing the historical evolution of the product's price will help you get good deals, without getting fooled by fake promotions!
In fact, it can happen that an unscrupulous seller inflates his prices a few days before offering a so-called great promotion!
This is why I suggest you discover Keepa, a web browser extension that displays the price history of over 1 million products on Amazon.
So, after installing the extension for Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Edge, you will see a price graph appear on all product pages on Amazon.
In the graph below, taken from the product page of the famous Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones, we can see that the promotion carried out on the occasion of Cyber Monday 2019 is a real promotion, because the price displayed is the lowest in history.

The purple line ("New") allows you to track the price history of the product, but from third-party sellers. The black line ("Used") will show the lowest price of a used product whether sold by Amazon or a third-party seller.
Finally, you will notice the presence of several tabs. The “Settings” tab gives the possibility to tweak many settings of the graph such as the display of prices on the occasion (or not), the time interval of the graph (1 month, 3 months, all…), the language and many other things that I will let you discover.
The “product tracking” tab is also very interesting since it allows you (by creating a free Keepa account) to set up alerts to be informed in the event of a price drop for the product!
The “Data” tab as for it is an incredible resource and brings together a phenomenal amount of data about the life of the product on Amazon: main sellers, product reference codes, sales ranking, average price…
To finish, the “variations” tab is quite clever since it offers you to compare the prices of the variants of your product. Indeed, it is not uncommon for a product with different colors to have very different price changes… so if you are not too fussy about the color, it may be interesting to choose an equivalent and less expensive model!
Keepa has a paid version in the form of a subscription, but the free version is more than sufficient for standard use consisting of setting up alerts and monitoring price curves.
In short, with this tool you should be able to make your purchases on Amazon in a much more peaceful manner, without fear of being scammed or missing out on a good deal!
