There are a multitude of reasons to share a list of links, whether it's for your Christmas gift ideas, a selection of must-have items to share with your friends, a list of websites for carrying out a project or even links to photo URLs... in short, you probably have a good reason to do it!
Link List is a 100% free web service whose sole and unique purpose is to allow you to create link lists and share them!
Its use is extremely simple. Just paste one or more links in the field provided for this purpose (it is the only field on the site so you can't make a mistake) and press the "+ ADD" button to add the links to your list.
Once you are satisfied, you can click on the “GET LINK” button to generate a unique link that will allow you to share your list, but also to access it whenever you want.
To personalize your list, you can change its title and subtitle and customize the color of the buttons by clicking on the small Theme palette.
The list you share can be edited at any time by anyone who accesses it, making the tool collaborative, but adding a risk of loss of information if someone messes up.
Note that during my tests of the tool, the link preview did not work very well, but beyond the aesthetic aspect it is not very annoying.
Share your browser favorites with Links List
Here's a little tip: you can import all your bookmarks from Chrome, Firefox or Safari. It's a bit of a hack, but it works and can be very useful.
- Export your browser bookmarks (you can easily find the solution on Google). The file format should be .html
- Change the format to .txt or open the file in a text editor (e.g. Notepad)
- Copy the entire contents of the file (even if it doesn't look like much)
- Go to Links List and paste everything into the field to add links
- Press the “+Add” button and you’re done!
You can then sort through the favorites you want to share and delete those you don't want to see.
In short, Links List is a small, unpretentious but well-made tool that can be very useful when you need to share more or less long lists of links.
