On Byothe.fr, I often talk to you about file sharing services. These, in general, allow you to send files to your contacts but disappear after a period of time between 1 and 2 weeks in the free versions of these sites.
But I discovered recently Masiup who proposes a storage and sharing service a little different, but in my opinion much more practical to use.
Masiup, unlimited online file storage and sharing
Indeed, basically, Masiup is a free online storage tool. Thus, you will be able to upload and store an unlimited number of files that you will be able to manage in your personal space. The only constraint is that the maximum size of a file cannot exceed 2GB. Beyond that, there are no restrictions, you can place all types of files there: documents, photos, videos, etc.
Then, Masiup provides you with all the tools you need to share your files on social networks or by email by sharing a link.
In your personal space, you will be able to do a lot of things like: creating folders to organize your documents, but also password protect these documents, make them public or private… obtain download statistics.
Also practical, the system allows you to download files from urls… ideal if you want to recover files from another storage space (other clouds for example) or all kinds of online documents!
As often, this type of site has a premium version with a number of advantages: maximum file size of 4GB, better upload and download speed...
In short, the service has some pretty nice advantages, because even in the free version the storage is unlimited and the retention period infinite.
EDIT: unfortunately, Masiup no longer exists and I have not found any exactly equivalent services. You can however use MyAirBridge ou QuickSync for file sharing.

I know this site and I strongly advise against using it. Why? Because I have had an account with them for several months, but I can no longer use it because they put all my files in the trash without warning and I can't get them back! All this because I didn't use Masiup for a while... I don't remember what the conditions are, but I think that if you don't log in and/or don't use the files for several days (60 or 90 days), they are automatically deleted 🙁 ! ...
In addition, I wrote them I don't know how many emails of complaint... for no response!!
In short, avoid it, it is better to use a service like pCcloud which is reliable and efficient.

Hello TheBloom, Thanks for the info… it's something that is indeed important to know… I'll try to get some details to add it to the article! But in a way, it makes sense that they're cleaning up because there must be a lot of users who create an account, put files and never go back.
Maybe but that's overdoing it! And then other storage services like pCloud and others don't do that, or they warn you, there, nothing!! No message, no response, if you care about your files, move on 😉 You'll see in a few weeks what will happen to your files 🙂 …
