Compression is quite fast. Just upload your photo and the compression process and conversion starts. After a few seconds, the site displays the different formats available (JPG, WEBP, PNG, JPEG-XL and AVIF) as well as the compression gain it has managed to generate for your photo.
All you have to do is click on the download button next to the format you are interested in to download the compressed file.
Effectiveness may differ between images, but for example compression ofa JPG turns out to be slightly better with MiniPic than with my favorite utility ILoveIMG (which has other advantages nonetheless).
In terms of security, you can also rest assured, your photos are not stored on a remote server, everything happens locally in your browser. So, there is no risk that your photos will be recovered and exploited.
On the other hand, the only downside of MiniPic is that This tool does not allow you to process multiple images at once.. This is not a tool for bulk compressing your photos, it is rather suited to one-off or low-volume needs.
