In France, we spend many years in school trying to master all the spelling and grammar rules of our beautiful language. But French is a language rich in particularities and exceptions; in every sentence and every word lies the possibility of making mistakes. Careful rereading is often enough, but not always!
There are more and more online tools that allow you to check your writing, such as sites like Good boss ou scribes…but the new kid I’m going to introduce to you has a very modern feature: NeuroSpell uses a neural network (from the Deep Learning) to correct your texts as effectively as possible.
And suddenly, the correction capabilities of the tool are increased tenfold. Indeed, the algorithm will try to determine what you wanted to say, from what you wrote in order to propose the appropriate correction(s).
So he goes first try to determine what you meant… and sometimes it’s not so obvious! The algorithm will therefore rely on a list of typical cases to take into account in order to determine possible corrections.
Then, using a neural network trained on over 60 million sentences, NeuroSpell will determine the most likely rewriting of all words of your text.
To use it, it's very simple, just enter or paste a text in the appropriate field and the mill will launch automatically. After a few seconds, a correction will be displayed with the modifications noted in bold.
By pressing the pre-analysis button, you will be able to see the reasoning followed by the algorithm to suggest corrections to you.
Still in the experimental (beta) stage, NeuroSpell works very well, but is not yet perfect. Nevertheless, it is a sign of the incredible tools that we will have at our disposal in the years to come. Therefore, any mistake will be unforgivable!

Hello,
NeuroSpell has evolved a lot. It now has a Dictaphone function for writing by voice recognition, and is available in more than 30 languages.
The ultimate weapon to boost productivity, to help DYS or anyone who has major difficulties with writing, or to support learning a new language.
Sincerely,
Etienne
A spell checker based on neural networks is a very interesting approach! It should allow for more contextual and precise corrections than traditional tools. It's a promising tool for anyone who writes online. Thank you for the presentation.
