In this period of strike, the question of compensation in the event of disruption to your trip arises more than ever. I had already presented to you Misterfox to recover your compensation from SNCF, here are YesReward, which will do the work for airlines.
Indeed, I left a few days ago for a long weekend in Berlin. For the outward journey, no problem, the flight on Joon (the slightly bastard airline of Air France… I still don't understand the concept, but I like the sneakers of the flight attendants) left and arrived on time.

For the return on Monday, however, things were a little more complicated because of a strike by Air France staff:
- Sunday afternoon: received a text message indicating the cancellation of the flight the next day.
- Sunday evening: received a text message to inform us that we were placed on the same flight, but a day later (Tuesday)
- Sunday night to Monday night: receipt of an email with boarding passes for Tuesday's flight
- Sunday night to Monday night: received a text message indicating the cancellation of Tuesday's flight
- Monday morning: we call Air France who offer us a flight on Monday evening (our initial departure date) operated by Lufthansa, but with a stopover in Munich. Travel time = 4h30 instead of 1h30. We accept…
As a result, we had to pay €50 for a taxi when we arrived at Roissy because at that time there was no longer any RER B… In short, we arrived safely, but the end of our weekend almost turned into a disaster…
As usual, I complained a lot on Twitter and that's when the CM of OuiReward contacted me to tell me that I could perhaps receive compensation from the company... humm... interesting.
Air France generally doesn't try to do the most practical thing????
Please note that you are entitled to compensation for this flight cancellation.

So, I tested the services of YesReward !
Get compensation for a delayed or cancelled flight with OuiReward
Let's start with the answer to the question that's on everyone's lips: no, it's not free... but it's not paid either... well, OuiReward gets a 25% commission on the compensation you'll receive... and only in this case!
This site works with most airlines. It only takes a few minutes to initiate a compensation process. Start by visiting the website of YesReward.
Step 1: Calculation of compensation
The idea with this step is to devalue whether you have any right to compensation. Because no, the absence of olives in the Dry Martini served by the hostess will not allow you to earn a single euro… sorry.
You will have to work a little since you will have to provide a certain amount of information, but rest assured, the site is very ergonomic:
- Departure and arrival airport (easy ;)), number of connections…
- Reason for complaint: cancelled flight, missed stopover, denied boarding, delayed flight.
- Reason given by the company: strike, damage, weather, etc.
- number of hours late arrival
- airline
- flight number
- flight date
At this point, the site will tell you if you are eligible for compensation.
Step 2: Your booking number
If you are eligible, you move on to step 2, congratulations! This is very simple since you only have to provide your reservation number. You will generally find it on the email you received from the company when you purchased your tickets.
You also have an optional space where you can add a comment to explain your problem.
Step 3: Management authorization
This step is essential because it gives OuiReward the powers to make a claim with the airline on your behalf. You will therefore have to sign a power of attorney online to authorize the company to work for you!

The rest of the process will lead you to enter information (name, first name, address, date of birth, etc.) for all travelers in the file.
Finally, you will end up creating a password that will allow you to access a space to track your request.
In this space, you will be able to upload a certain number of documents that OuiReward will need to begin its procedure: boarding pass, passenger identity card... and then a RIB if all goes well!
Throughout the procedure, you can ask your questions on a chat (very responsive to my questions) or by phone.
Why OuiReward?
Well, let's not lie to each other, administrative procedures are not my thing... so I was happy to come across OuiReward to take care of my file for me. I also estimated that the chances of success were much greater than if I had had to manage the problem myself... even if 25% commission seems a bit high to me. However, it is better to receive 75% of compensation than nothing at all!
Here is how Ugo Weyl, president of OuiReward, defines the concept:
Faced with the flight delays suffered by some people around us, and the difficulties they encountered in recovering compensation, we decided to create Oui Reward, and help as many passengers as possible!
When asked, the numbers are pretty flattering regarding the results obtained by OuiReward users. On average, passengers who have used OuiReward since its creation have received compensation of €395 with a success rate of 94%. This represents more than €350 in amounts recovered from airlines… quite a success!
Finally, be aware that in France you have a period of 5 years to make your complaints to the airlines... so it may not be too late!
Regarding the period for recovering compensation, everything will depend on the responsiveness of the airlines. Regarding amicable approaches, OuiReward gives a reasonable period of 45 days to the airlines before starting a formal notice procedure. But in some cases, only a few days are enough!
Of course, I will not fail to update this article when I have obtained the outcome of my case... indemnity or no indemnity, zat iz the qwestion !
