If there is one thing I am not passionate about, it is going to clothes shops to try to renew my wardrobe... Besides, I don't bother, I almost always buy the same clothes. Going to the store, browsing the shelves, going to the changing room... not for me! I prefer efficiency and buying directly what I want!
So when the web offers me a fitting room in my browser, who do I thank? Thanks to Artificial Intelligence which allows the service offered by Outfit.fm to achieve a real feat for all those who would like the fitting room to move to their home!
3 Ways to Get Dressed with Outfit.fm
Still, when you think about it, artificial intelligence really allows us to do crazy things… things we wouldn't have imagined a few years ago.
And Outfit.com is really taking full advantage of the possibilities that AI image generation allows. The concept of this AI tool is really simple and incredibly effective.
You will first load a photo of a person that you want to dress up: you, your badly dressed friends or even a hot model with whom you want to play dolls… And we are going to do some tests with this woman, whom we are going to call Monique, found by chance in an image bank and who is really dressed like a sack.

And at this point you have 3 options for dressing up Monica.
The first one allows you to test a new style without fear of ridicule. To do this, you must select a style from around twenty possibilities predetermined by Outfit.fm: casual, sporty, grunge, gothic, classic, retro, country… Few options at this stage, you choose the style that itches you and click on Generate. The AI will grind for a few seconds and offer you a makeover from head to toe. This option is very effective, often radical but does not allow you to try on specific (and real) clothes!

And this is where the 2nd option comes in, which is in my opinion the most incredible. This option called Garment (clothing) on Outfit.fm will allow you totry on real clothes ! To do this, in addition to your photo (or Monique's), you will have to upload a photo of the item of clothing you want to wear: a photo of the item of clothing alone or even a photo of a worn item of clothing! And after a few turns of the AI mill, the site will display your photo with the item of clothing in question (or at least something very similar)!

It's a crazy thing and a real solution to get an idea of what you'll look like with a particular item of clothing that you can't be bothered to try on in store... Ideal for making your online purchases from your couch! On condition, of course, that you're sure of your measurements to choose the right size of clothing, because this tool won't be able to help you with that.

Finally, the last option (“Custom”) allows you to ask AI directly what you want using more or less precise sentences. As is often the case with AI, you have to succeed in making sufficiently precise requests to obtain a satisfactory result. For my part, this did not give much… and the model interpreted my requests completely off the mark.
A free version with a daily limit for testing
Like most AI tools, Outfit.fr relies on a paid model, but the tool is nevertheless available for free with a limit of 3 generations of images per day. This is not enough to really have fun with the tool, but it allows you to test it… For more intensive use you will have to pay. It will cost you $10 per month or $90 per year (around €9,5 / €83) for unlimited use. The paid version also allows you to download your photos in higher resolution and without watermark.

In any case, this site is particularly effective and beyond the fitting, I can tell you that I had a good laugh!
