The PDF format is a double-edged format. While on the one hand it allows you to create very clean and secure documents, on the other hand it can be particularly difficult to handle when you want to modify it! Fortunately for us, there are a multitude of utilities on the web (often free) that allow you to do lots of things with PDFs.
This is particularly the case of PDF4Me, a website which offers nearly 30 tools to work on PDF files for free.
A Swiss Army Knife of PDF Files
When looking for online tools for manipulating PDFs, it is not really practical to have to use several different tools. We start working on a first tool then we switch to a second one capable of doing something else... in short, it's a pain.
So PDF4Me is really a very good solution if you need to work on a PDF file. With 27 different tools at the time of writing, this site is a veritable Swiss knife from the PDF file.
This tool suite can be used for free and without creating an account in a light version!
To use PDF4Me, simply go to the website. You will then immediately see all the tools at your disposal, presented in a grid format. Among the tools present on the site you will find in particular the following tools: format conversion, file compression, optimization, repair, file merger, file separation, rotation, reorganization of the order of pages, signature, edition, password removal…
Then simply select the tool you want to use to go directly to it and its file upload area. There, you can either drag the file into the area delimited by dotted lines or go and find it on your computer with the file explorer.

Below this download area you will find instructions for use for each tool. In general, these instructions are not necessary as the tool is easy to use.
Once your PDF is uploaded to the site, the options for the tool you have chosen will appear on the screen. For example, on the tool for organizing your PDF, you will have buttons to rotate pages, delete or restore pages, etc.

The “Start” button allows you to launch the process and view the result in order to download your modified file.
The only downside of this tool is that you are limited to one action every hour. It's really not much but it helps you out... Otherwise, you'll have to go through the paid version...
If you have more extensive use, you can use ILovePDF which is still my favorite even after 10 years of use!
