Remove shine from the face
In PhotoWorks, it is possible to remove shine from the face in one click using a predefined style. Just select the tool Portrait beautification situated in tab Retouching. Here the software offers several predefined settings. Click on Remove shine from the face to edit your photo instantly. To adjust your edit, go to Custom settings and move the cursor Reflection to the right until the shine disappears completely.
Eliminate skin blemishes
To hide skin imperfections, PhotoWorks offers you two options. The first is to select a predefined style from Portrait beautification. For example, you can remove redness, smooth the skin, or perform an overall enhancement. This helps hide small imperfections like uneven skin texture or small spots. For a deeper touch-up, use the Correction brush. It allows to hide pimples and redness, dark circles and bags, lighten certain areas of the face in an effective way.
Change eye or hair color
Maybe you want to go further and experiment with your appearance? Change your hair color and see how it goes. In the tab Retouching select the Touch-up brush. Adjust its size and paint over the hair to create a mask on top. Then open the tab Tone mapping and choose a color from the palette. Select the appropriate blending mode for a more realistic look. You can also change your eye color in the same way. Apply the brush to the eyes and choose any color from the palette!
Applying makeup to a photo
Use the predefined styles to bring out the best in your portraits. For example, select Glowing lips to intensify your lips, or Light eyes to emphasize the eyes. In the custom settings, you can change the skin tone, accentuate the eyebrows, adjust the hue, luminance and saturation of the lips to try out several makeup styles. The program pallows you to see the effect right away.
PhotoWorks is a good alternative to Lightroom more user-friendly and easy to master for those who want to improve their photos and give them a professional look.
