The site is in English, but if you already know the game, this shouldn't really be a problem since the game mechanics are really the same. When you go to the Colonist homepage you will have several options to launch the game.
First of all, if you want, you will be able to create an account on the site. Nothing necessary, but it will allow you to change your username and save your statistics.
Then you will be able to choose to play against the computer (“ Play vs Bots") which will allow you to familiarize yourself with this version of the game and possibly remind yourself of the rules of the game. You also have a chat window that allows you to chat with players present in the game.

So of course, if you want to vary the fun and play variations of the game, use new boards, alternative rules or customize your account, you will have to pay. But the base game is 100% free… and honestly, that's already not bad!
