If in a few decades video games have made astonishing progress in terms of both graphics and content, the flavor of some old video games remains unmatched for some of us. It must be said that at the time everything had to be invented! It was therefore necessary to be original to create new games... while being content with the graphic possibilities of the moment.
But the good news for vintage game lovers is that there is the site PlayClassic.games whose vocation is to make available to you free of charge in your browser a selection of classic video games from the PC or console universes.
This site created by amateurs for amateurs therefore offers you the possibility ofemulate games for pc (DOS and Windows) or even Super Nintendo and MegaDrive. No installation is required, as the games run using emulators in your web browser.
The program includes hundreds of the most famous games such as Doom, Civilization II, Warcraft 2, Pirates (by Sid Meiers), Heroes of Might and Magic, Theme Hospital, Sim City 2000, Duke Nukem 3D, Wolfenstein, Fallout… or even Super Mario World, Sonic and many more!
Each game on the site is accompanied by a descriptive sheet (in English) allowing you to discover or rediscover the game.
I started a small game of The Oregon Trail, released in 1990. In short, if you knew these games when they came out or if you want to discover them, I am sure that you will spend many hours on this site which is a real gold mine! I found many games there that punctuated my youth and it is a real pleasure! In particular, I played a game of Civilization again… and it was really cool!
