When you want to print a website page or an article, you regularly end up with a long print area that includes almost all the parasites that you can find on a web page: advertisements, menus, related content, share buttons... in short, it is very rare to succeed in printing ONLY what interests you. But that was before!
That was before you found out PrintFriendly !
Indeed, PrintFriendly will allow you to clean up the web pages you want to print and will even pre-do the work for you!
But first things first, to use this utility you have two options:
- If you are using the Chrome browser, you can use an extension available at this address. A small button will be added to Chrome and you will just have to click to use PrintFriendly.
- If you don't use Chrome or don't want to bother with an extension, you can go directly to the website PrintFriendly and enter the address (URL) of the page you want to print.
That being said, when you use PrientFriendly, it will start by removing everything that is accessory and in particular the advertisements. You will then have the possibility to click on the remaining elements if you do not wish to print them, certain images for example. Note that for images there is also an option that allows them all to disappear and thus save ink when printing!
Finally, you can also change the text size.
And there you have it, all you have to do is use your nice and clean document and here again you have several options:
- print to PDF
- sending the document by email
- print on paper (if you have a printer of course!)
In short, PrintFriendly is a superb utility that will allow you to save ink, paper and also to print presentable documents whether for your archives in PDF or for use on paper!
