There are many reasons why you might need to know what processor is installed in your computer. If you find that your PC is giving you performance issues, knowing your chip model can be essential in finding a solution.

So to get the answer to this existential question, there are several fairly simple ways to find information about your computer's processor model. We're going to review three of them, the easiest and most accessible in Windows 10... these solutions are often close or similar on older versions of Windows.

Going through “This PC”

With this solution, you will need to find your computer icon ("This PC") which you can usually find on the desktop or via the file explorer.

Make a right click on the icon in question and choose the Properties option.

In this very practical tool, you will discover lots of information such as the resources used by the programs open on your computer... but for our purposes, go to the "Performance" tab and you will discover the model of your processor at the top right of the screen that appears!
