Simple and effective, Remove.bg has quickly become popular on the web, because it is very useful for creating transparent PNGs or making montages of all kinds.
But the good news is that the service continues to evolve and improve. But this time it is a major evolution since the site offers to download a software simply named Remove.bg for Windows/Mac/Linux. As the name suggests, the software works on all 3 operating systems.
This little program allows you to do several things:
- automatic background removal by drag and drop
- the ability to process multiple images at the same time
- the ability to generate transparent or colored backgrounds
- the ability to select the output file size of your choice
Remove.bg for Windows/Mac/Linux uses the Remove.bg API which means you will need an API key that you can generate very easily on the developer's website as well as an active internet connection to use the program.
Finally This program is only partially free since it offers you 50 API calls per month in low resolution (625x400px).
But in any case, Remove.bg remains to this day the most effective tool to remove very easily and automatically, without any knowledge in the use of photo software, the background of an image.
