As you probably know, I love sharing my "webastic" finds and that's what this blog is all about! Most of the time, I present you sites that are alternatives to others with different features or improvements, but today's site is very innovative and I've never talked about anything like that here... It's Reverb.
Reverb is a site that allows you to use the microphone of your computer, tablet or smartphone to record a voice memo directly from your web browser in order to share it very easily on the Internet.
Some of my contacts use What's App or other messaging services to record their voice rather than writing a message... behind this notorious act of laziness, however, there are two big advantages!
First, it is much faster to express an elaborate or complex idea orally, even if writing allows you to synthesize a thought. And second, the voice conveys emotions, feelings and allows the recipient to interpret a message more easily. The voice message can therefore be warmer and more personal!
Create a voice memo with Reverb
Free and extremely easy to use, Reverb is a multi-platform site that you can use from your computer or smartphone; the only prerequisite is that you must have a microphone!
To create a voice memo, simply go to Reverb, press the microphone on the screen and speak (or sing if you have talent)!
Once you have finished your message, press the microphone again to stop recording.
Then name your work and press the "Save" button to generate a link that you can share with your friends, colleagues or others... It is also possible to share your message on Twitter in the form of an audio tweet or integrate it on a website as I did a little further down.
The recipients of your message will then be able to respond by pressing the “Respond” button.
A big advantage of Reverb is that the site does not require any installation or account creation. It can therefore be used immediately by going to the site.
In short, Reverb is really well done and I have no doubt that you will quickly find a great use for it!
I promise, next year I'll record my New Year's greetings with Reverb and I'll only have one link to send to each of my contacts who will then have the impression that I'm really nice!
