It can sometimes be useful to run a mobile application on your computer: practicality, discretion, testing or other... If there is currently no emulator to run iOS applications, this is not the case on Android since several software programs allow you to run Android applications or games on your computer.
Andy Le Sauce is a virtual machine for Android that will allow you to do this for free, on PC or Mac. Its installation is very simple.
To get started, go to the website Andy The Android Emulator to download the latest version of the software.
Then run the executable you retrieved and the installation will start.
The installation process does not present any particular difficulty, but it is necessary that your computer's processor is capable of supporting virtualization.
After the installation is complete, you may be prompted to restart your computer.
You can then launch Andy Le Sauce.
When you first launch it, you will go through all the steps of setting up a new Android mobile device: configuring your email address, activating geolocation, etc., entering your Google Play credentials.
Please note that by default, your new device will be configured with a QWERTY keyboard that you can change at any time in the settings of your virtual tablet, in the “Language and input” section.
Once everything is ready, you can use Andy like any Android tablet. For example, go to the Play Store and download all the applications you want using your Play Store account (which you can create very easily if you don't have one). You can then download Candy Crush and continue your progress in the game from your computer !
Best of all, you can use your mobile as a controller to control your games on Andy!
Feature-wise, here's what Andy OS offers:
- Full Android User Interface
- Windows 7, 8 and Mac OSX compatibility
- Access to the Google Play Store
- Synchronization
- Using your mobile as a controller
- Multitouch support
- Cloud backup
- Recognizing your computer's microphone
- Recognizing your computer's camera
- Push notifications
You will then be able to use all your messaging applications directly from your PC (WhatsApp, Viber, etc.) and play your favorite games! Likewise, if like me, you are not familiar with Android, Andy Le Sauce is the ideal tool for testing Google's mobile OS before embarking on a migration from iOS.
