How to Record a Voicemail on iPhone
In the event that the visual voicemail is enabled on your iPhone, follow these steps:
Step 1: To record a voicemail on iPhone, open the Phone app and choose the Voicemail tab in the lower-right corner. You should see a list of your voicemails.


Step 2: Find the message you want to save and tap it. A pop-up window will open with several controls, including a play button, a speaker icon, and a phone button.
Step 3: At the top right, you'll see a share button (a box with an up arrow coming out of it). Tap it to bring up the share sheet and see all the options for recording or sharing your voicemail.

Step 4: To save the voicemail locally on your iPhone, select “Save to Files” and then “On My iPhone”. Choose a folder where you want to save the voicemail and click “Save” in the top right.


You can also record the voice message directly to a streaming service. online storage like iCloud. To do this, choose the “Save to Files” option from the Share menu and select iCloud Drive or Google Drive in the list of storage locations.
If you want to export voicemails to your Mac or iPad, you can use AirDrop. In the Share menu, tap the AirDrop icon and choose your Mac or iPad. Make sure the receiving device has AirDrop set to “Contacts Only.” The file will be transferred instantly and saved in the Downloads folder on the receiving device.
Keep in mind that this solution only works if your carrier supports visual voicemail. If you can see a list of voicemails when you open the Voicemail tab, your carrier supports this feature. However, if your carrier requires dialing or other methods to access your messages, this method won't work.
How to save voicemails on iPhone without visual voicemail?
If your operator or your package does not give you access to visual messaging, you will have to be a little cunning!
In fact, we are going to use screen recording to save and share a voicemail on iPhone. This is a great workaround if you can’t use the first solution. This method can also be useful if you want to capture additional information along with the voicemail content, such as caller ID and timestamp.
Step 1: To record a voice message on iPhone, use the Screen Recorder. First, swipe down to bring up Control Center and tap the Screen Recording button (the big dot in a circle).

If you don't see the button, go to Settings > Control Center > More Controls and add the screen recording button by clicking the green + icon.

Also make sure you have enabled the microphone in the screen recording settings, otherwise your recording will have no sound.
To enable audio with the screen recorder, hold down the screen recording enable button and click the “Mic” icon at the bottom so that it turns red and says “yes”.

Step 2: Go to the Phone app, play the voice message on speaker, and let the screen recording do its job.
Step 3: Tap the Screen Recording button when you're done to save the recording. The screen recording will be saved in the Photos app.
After exporting your voicemails to your iPhone, it is advisable to back them up to a backup service. cloud storage such as iCloud or Google Drive. This way, you can easily access your messages from other devices, and you won't have to worry about losing them if you lose or reset your iPhone.
